I talk to a co-worker the other day about this Foreigner things. My conclusion Chinese translation of foreigner to wai guo ren is wrong English translation of waiguoren to foreigner is also wrong Foreigner should better translate as wai di ren and Waiguoren should better translate as caucasian this is the case with taiwan… ax

I wasn’t trying to discourage anyone from posting about it. I guess it’s a perennial, even if there isn’t always a fresh thread devoted to it.

Edit: Whoa, I just now noticed the merger. I wasn’t fishing around to get you to do that, but it’s a cool thing that you did!
