Formosa Green World

I took my family to this place on Sunday, naively thinking it would be like the brochure. A farm where the kids got to pet the goats, feed the calves etc.

When we first got there everything seemed fine. We saw some sawns, ran over some grassland and visited the turtle pools. Then we reached an area where there were supposed to be some peacocks, seeing none around my husband asked where they may be. We were told they had all died so we went to the aviary to see the parrots. Four once beautiful macaws had all plucked out a great many feathers, the cocatoos were no where to be seen and the African greys also had bald patches.
We went next to the Chinchilla house and saw nothing but hamsters again told that they had all died. Stupidly proceeded to the farm area where the rabbits were locked in cages within the huts. And the biggest horror; got to the goat area and saw a worker picked up several dead kids and toss them into a garbage bag. I asked why the kids had died and she ssaid because they wouldn’t nurse. i asked if they had been offered bottles and she said they had but refused them ( how many goats refuse anything put near their mouths?) Then she told me that that particular mother had more than twenty kids die because she couldnt nurse them. I said she should be spayed so she couldnt have anymore offspring to which the worker wholehardly agreed then disappeared.

Oh and the troughs were empty of food and water and we could the goats ribs and hips jutting out.
