This Thursday is our first (but surely not our last!) Happy Hour at Gally Gong Bistro, a new venture started up by Forumosa’s very own Lord Lucan*!
Carlsberg and Stella NT100, standard mixed drinks NT100, Guinness NT150, and House wine 750 a bottle. Of course there will be food, and damn good food at that!

Well, this is really short notice. And I am really short on cash. Gonna have to take a rain check. Make the following HH at Golly’s again, and I am there!
Hi there chaps. We’re not selling Carlsberg any more, so I’ll put on our excellent Orion draught at NT$100 a pint too. It’s a good fresh pint, and with Guinness, our best quality beer.
So it’s Stella NT$100, standard mixed drinks NT$100, Guinness NT$150, and House wine NT$750 a bottle. We’ll put on lots of plates of small bites, and our sandwiches at the regular prices of NT$200 and NT$250, respectively.
Our house wines are Misones de Rengo Cab and Sauv Blanc, the same wines I had as House in Ireland. A nice drop and heavily discounted from our normal NT$1,000 a bottle.
Look forward to seeing you all. I suspect we might all head over to Niall’s new place, The Speakeasy, after I close up around 11pm for continued boozing.

Is that really true? I know Maoman often doesn’t even get to these happy hours until close to 10pm. Unfortunately, it looks like I probably won’t get there until after 9:30pm this time. I’ve got to watch the kids until pretty late.
In any case, it sounds like it’ll be a great time no matter where the party ends up.
I hope you have plenty of Coke and grape juice for Chaon to sip on after he’s had his requisite two American beers.

Chaon’s beer consumption is inversely proportional to the distance of [strike]The Prison Warden[/strike] his lovely wife. And she was sitting right next to me at the last HH.
On the subject of arriving late, I’ll probably be there quite early, if anyone wants to test their understanding of colourful accents.
