Forumosa Happy Hour at The Speakeasy, Jan 13, 9pm

Forumosa’s January Happy Hour is coming up fast - this Thursday, in fact! And our first Happy Hour of 2011 is our first official Happy Hour at The Speakeasy, the latest venture of consummate barman Niall Clinton.

The Speakeasy is located at Fùxìng South Road Section 1, Lane 107, Alley 5, No.15, B1, very close to the intersection of Fuxing South Road and Civil Blvd. Here’s the address in Chinese: 復興南路一段107巷5弄15號地下一樓

The fun starts at 9:00, and please feel free to bring a friend. Oh, and I have it on good authority that long-time Forumosan “Sharky” will be there, so if you’re an old-skool Forumosan, do come out to say hi.

I’ll let Niall chime in with the drink specials now…

Have Fun!

Cheers Anthony!

Taiwan Draught Beer, Corona, Heineken and Carlsberg will be 100nt all night!

Also basic mixed drinks will be 120nt for the duration of the Happy Hour.

Looking forward to seeing you folks on Thursday!

Slainte,

Niall

It is true, the mistress of Shark, will be making a stop from her whirlwind tour of Asia…Can’t wait to see some old friends…

I’ll be there as long as Jimmi buys me a drink!

Things are busy in that it’s the final week and students’ grades need to be submitted.

Then again, I’m probably likely to pass more of the blighters if I’ve had some forumosan cheer on Thursday night.

See you then.

I think I’ll stop in for a couple of hours. It should be a good time. It’d be nice to meet Sharky too.

bump!

Do you really expect me to come out to Taipei at that late hour?

Might I recommend dinner at the excellent Galley Gong first, followed by a wander up the road for the Happy Hour?

Can’t make it tonight unfortunately - short notice left me with not enough time to reschedule other stuff.

Couldn’t friggin wait a week, could y’all, until the semester was over and grades were submitted and papers were written and marked and I was actually on vacation and wouldn’t have to get up for an 8am class on Friday?! :raspberry:

Have fun anyway.

Eh? EH? Galley Gong is a CHEAP eatery! I can’t IMAGINE how they can do what they do at those prices! Even though they only have to pay the barman in potato skins.

Sorry to hear that you’re christening the place in beer suds and I won’t be there again. Have a Happy Hour!

I would appreciate it if one of you lovely folk would say Hi to Niall for me.

Ta muchly.

I’ll try to stop by for an hour or so.

You have no idea what’s involved to get out there for like 2 hours of ‘maybe’ fun, getting drunk …
I’ve to take a bus to Yongning, then MRT to Fuxing-Chungxiao, than walk … and return around 11PM to get back home again … it’ll take me 2 hours of transportation to have 2 hours of … :ponder:

Hey BP, is someone pointing a gun at your head or something?
