Here’s what I don’t get. The parents want an apology and want this stricken off of the kid’s record so that it doesn’t follow him later on in life.
Yet the parents show their faces in an interview on TV and this gets in papers all over the nation. The school itself is shown and named.
So much for protecting the kid’s anonymity. Everyone in that small town and definitely in that school system knows exactly who that kid is. Unless they move to a different town and school district, can you imagine the teasing that poor kid is going to get for the rest of his life? Gossips have long memories.

The school would be correct to be concerned for the boy, who only mimics what he sees around him. Once they are satisified the child isn’t being abused then they should wipe the record clean.

Damn straight. This kid is just doing what is expected of young children. Hug your teacher. This kind of crap is killing the American youngster. It simply IS NOT sexual. Of course, we could ask him. However, consider the youg girl who hugs the male. She nuzzles his bussom. Is it the same? I don’t think anyone in power whould see it the same but yet. . . . .
