Free Book Delivery to Taiwan from the UK
I’ve been using this in the Yook. They have stuff that’s not easy to find here. Cheaper than Amazon, slightly, for the stuff I’ve bought.

They STILL say they have Taiwan as a shipping destination, though.
Bastards! They need to have their houses burnt to the ground, their womenfolk and children sold into bondage, their farmlands salted so that nothing will grow for a hundred years, and their choice of beverages subjected to severe ridicule.

I could make a start on that, as I’m in the Yook? They do have free shipping, though, so I’m loath to wind them up too much.

(shipping? putting in postbox-ing)

Looks like they checked shipping costs and it was too much, but they like the attraction of saying they ship anywhere free. Well…they could be sued if they are not careful.

I’ve ordered books a couple of times from them and have received the books without any problem. Although the first time, the address said “Taiwan, Province of China”. I wrote to them and complained and told them that they had pissed off a number of my family members. My next order was a month or so ago and this time they left off the “Province of China” and just had Taiwan

is it me or has book deleivery from the UK via Amazon also now got a lot more reasonable? Used to be like 20 quid an item. Now is 2-5??

bump…mb I’ll start a new thread…

It has indeed been a good deal for many years for its very reasonable shipping costs. This is about to end as Book Depository will reportedly shut down on April 26; delivery and customer support will continue until June.

Book Depository, RIP.

Just got the sad news too. On a brighter note there may be some good sale items!

Wonder what killed them off? And if there is now room for a new player?

Rocketing shipping costs, perhaps?

The company has been owned by Amazon for a while. I wonder if they are divesting some parts of their business.

I have no idea about how good the company is, but I saw one tweet (here) suggesting this company for free worldwide shipping:

Accidentally started a new thread on this. Seems it has to do with massive layoffs…
