Anyone used Tengo? Looks fantastic, I intend to try it out. Just what I’ve been after in a text entering program for my PDA.

so where do you get the free personal copy. I see a 30 day free trial but thats all.
It’s a good idea and it looks easy enough to use, but I just don’t like using the stylus much. I much prefer the tactile nature of the real, though small, keyboard on my Treo 600.
Back in my Palm days, I was using FitalyStamp. You might give it a try. At the time, there were competitions and people were able to get 80+ wpm.
I see its for PPc and windows mobile but not for Palm.
hmm any advice?

Purchae the Palm version, or upgrade to a PPC.
If I had tentacles rather than fingers, I reckon I would really love those small keyboards.

Upgrade? HA, Id never lower myself to use such a rotten contraption. :raspberry:
So its not free for the higher class palm. Thats ok. You always have to pay for the premium software. ![]()
Ive never used PPC, and my Palm is new, so i cant really tell myself that i should have chosen a PPC

Goodness, fanboy alert. ![]()
My first PDA was a black and white Handspring Visor (Palm OS), my second PDA was a a colour Sony Clie 710 (Palm OS), and my third and current PDA is a Dell Axim 3i (PPC OS). The move to PPC was certainly an upgrade from my experience.

Have you tried them? They look impossible to use but they’re actually fine. The one on the Treo 600 is okay and the one on the Treo 650 is even better apparently. There’s something in the software that ensures if you accidentally press an additional, neighbouring character to the one you want, only the one you want gets typed.

The smallest keyboard worthy of the name which I’ve felt remotely comfortable using was the keyboard on the greatly mourned Psion 5. I’ve tried thumboards and phoneboards, and they’re ghastly for me.
Ah, they read minds. That’s how they do it. I did wonder.

That’s why I asked whether you’d tried it.

[Edit: I’ve read things about those Psion 5s before. They look very useful. It’s a pity that nothing like that is made any more.]
