French Paratroopers accidentally shoot 17 people

see,in France when innocents get injured the general in charge is asked to hand out his resignation, in some countries however, awful handling of intelligence is simply being awarded a medal, my faith in this nation is slowly being restored :bravo: :bravo:

Yeah, that bit doesn’t make much sense either.[/quote]
Here is a possible explanation:

so what were they demonstrating?
that it’s okay to shoot with an automatic machine-gun towards a group of hostage so long as the terrorist is neutralized?

makes less sense than the trooper going crazy…

As TC noted earlier, there is so much more to this story than that which is being allowed to meet the eye.

I find it shocking that a French soldier actually hit something.

totally uncalled for!
It may well be remembered how much the French changed the militaries of all nations in the Napoleonic era. ALL down the line.

Yeah, but what have they done lately?

Americans are not worthy of carrying a French/German’s jock when it comes to nationalism. Whenever anything remotely puts their country in a negative light they’re sticking up for them on here before they have a clue what happened. And then in usually some fucked up way it comes around with a snide remark about the U.S.

things that don’t make headline news, like pinpoint strikes and accurate removal of rogue individuals…all-out multi billion $ operations are not always the way to go.

actually the past 20 year’s budget has mostly been spent in overalling and improving intelligence services as well as state of the art satellite monitoring equipment, which means that we know who farts, where, when and if it warrants sending our finest men.
