I’m quite new at Forumosa.com and I’m glad to join this big community.
I’m Yuande, french expatriate in Tainan, on the island since some years now.
Just want to let you know that there is a french website dedicated to Taiwan for the french speaking community: Taiwan Mag
Taiwan Mag is the first global french website dedicated to Taiwan. It is a collaborative project: french speakers in Taiwan or in other places collaborate to make it work.
Taiwan Mag is a non-profit website, just some Google ads to generate some funds for the payment of the website domain and host fees.
Like Forumosa.com, there is a lot of information about our island (tips, contacts address, visa/ARC questions …) and also a forum board for discussions. I invite all the french speakers in Taiwan, as well the others, to join us at

Taiwan Mag est la suite de l’aventure de “Taiwan Magazine One”, site crée en 1996.
Taiwan Magazine One a été concu sous une forme très basic, pour regrouper et véhiculer des informations en francais en rapports avec Taiwan, par toutes personnes membres ou non de l’équipe du site. Taiwan Mag poursuit ce concept, avec l’idée de devenir la source d’informations en francais sur l’île de Taiwan.
Ce site est un “site ouvert”, où chacun et chacune peut s’exprimer, et participer à son évolution.
Taiwan Mag est un site non commercial. Je ne percois aucune rémunération relative aux infos diverses que vous trouverez sur le site comme les adresses de restaurants et autres. Par-contre, vous verrez des “annonces Google” qui, je l’espère, m’aideront à financer mes frais d’hébergements et de nom de domaine que je paye.
L’administrateur, moi-même, est un francais expatrié à Formose, résidant dans une petite ville au sud de Taiwan
