FYI: I was in HsinChu Carrefour yesterday around lunchtime and they had a freshly baked bread.
Three kinds: white (French country?), dark rye and sour bread.
The attempt at sour bread (which I bought) was mostly successful
It still needs crispy skin and fragrance of freshly baked bread (good luck getting those in Taiwan)
BTW I’m not associated with Carrefour in any way - it’s just a self interest so they have enough sales to keep it up
