Frog and gecko living together...problems?

Can this gecko co-exist with this frog in a small terrarium? They are roughly the same size.http://www.flickr.com/photos/62437205@N07/

Can I feed them both small crickets?

Thanks for your help.

It’s a bullfrog. It will eat the gecko very very soon, whether you feed it crickets or not. And I’m not entirely sure that a tiny wee gecko like that can eat crickets. They normally feed mostly on mosquitoes and such.

I think you’d be best letting the gecko co-habit with you in your house. They eat bugs that you don’t want in your house. Geckos are your friends, and as such, you shouldn’t keep them captive. :2cents: And sandman’s right. I think it’s too small to eat crickets.

I agree with sandman and Rob. Also, don’t hold the frog in your hands. Your PH and their body-coating are NOT good friends.

That bull frog will eat anything that can fit in his mouth. The gecko looks a lot narrower than the frogs mouth. Ergo…

Now, geckos are fussy eaters, not like that fat bastard frog. Far higher class of individual. Some of my best friends are geckos.

Also, an aquarium suitable for a frog - ie one with quite a bit of water in it - may be too humid for a gecko. Most species have their own individual temperature and humidity requirements.
