Fun at the annual review

I guess that if I consider only the practical side of the annual review I had today, I have to say that I don’t like it much, and overall it wasn’t that good. But I still could enjoy it. It was really amusing to find things like these ones among other equally disturbing sentences:
Positive

  1. Holly has an innate ability to set strategic direction and manage others to
    meet the direction.

Negative
Harry does not pace himself effectively and has inconsistent work patterns.
No need to say that my name is not Holly neither Harry. I have to recognize that at least they were consistent enough for using names that start and end with the same letters.

PS: Just in the awkward case that any of my managers read this, no animal was injured during the making of this post. No name was revealed, neither any secret. Also the salary raise is not going to be so great, so let me at least laugh at the absurd situations that nourish my sarcastic attitude at office… :stuck_out_tongue:

The “inconsistent work patterns” is a bit rich, given the Holly/Harry thing…

It reminds me of being “non-continued” as a teacher by one school supervisor in the US on the claim that I “failed to follow procedures.” The school (in the US) had to do the procedure to non-continue me twice because they f***d it up the first time.

I find it rich that many companies wait until the review to crap on an employee, instead of bringing it up to them during the course of their work.
Good way to get out of giving good raises.

American companies do that too.
