Fund transfer between banks: How long worst case scenario?

I’m in the Philippines permanently, and waiting on some much-needed cash. My old school should have done a direct deposit to my bank yesterday, 04/12. The school uses Chung Hua Bank, and my bank is Mega Bank.

Question: How long will I have to wait before the I have access to funds in my account?

Bank to bank? Usually about three hours. Overnight if the transaction happens late in the day.

If it’s more than 3 days, there’s a problem. However, you asked ‘how long worst case scenario?’, to which I am afraid the answer is ‘a long time’ (given that worst case scenarios involve clerical errors which send the money to the wrong bank and which take time to fix).
