Soi 6 is a one-way Street and you’re lucky to get out the other end the same as you were when you entered.
It used to be bars only on one side of the alley, nothing on the soi right off sukhumvit.probably not soi 6 either. Are you maybe meaning soi 7.1? Used to be a great live music bar there that i went to a lot. Also a sort of dead ender… but again, this street is too wide for that

Oh, i see. I only went to Pattaya once, with the same GF that took me to Patpong, so I didn’t explore much in either place
Sukhumvit I knew well, and for many reasons otherbthan the seedy side
Sukhumvit is amazing. I like Soi 11 maybe best but of course many others
Sukhunvit. Yeah, depending on what you’re in the mood for it’s all there. Pub? Water pipe? German food? Filipino band? The most challenging Connect Four game of your life? Best used bookstore in Bangers? And much much more!
When I first went to Thailand I stayed at the iconic Miami Hotel to get sorted, later I did part time work at Nana. Definitely my happy place in Thailand
