Cut them a little slack. Their English speaking kids are already living in the U.S. so they couldn’t check spell on short notice for them.

well … it translates almost precisely, but perhaps the joke doesn’t quite work …
The double entendre doesn’t really work as you wouldn’t use the exact same word for both meanings in English.
You would in British English, except the equivalent in Chinese would probably use ‘內’ rather than ‘裡面’
