Change that to Xi Jinping (China), Ismail Guelleh (Djibouti) or Putin (Russia) and you’ll see the comment doesn’t really makes sense.
Sure, if you throw out a functioning justice system and 4th estate overseeing legitimacy in elections, The US is exactly like China and Russia, I suppose.
