Does someone have a copy of Risk? I’d play that (it’s been ages). We played AnA at the miltownresidence once (I think). That’s the game with all the little tanks and stuff correct? I’d like to try it again with the max amount of people (I think we were one or 2 people short).
I’m also up for it (A&A). I haven’t played it since they changed it. I know I’ve seen it in WH, and I think the seal was broken. Don’t sue me if Im wrong though.

One of us have a copy. I wouldn’t mind setting up another session at my place. I think that games is too long (timewise) and big (sizewise) for the Witch House.
Let me know if you want me to bring Risk.

Anyone here play Settlers online?
Up for a game?

When, where and how?
I’ve played a few times and have always enjoyed myself. You mean that JAVA one?
You can catch me on msn miltownkid at hotmail dot com
There are quite a few Java Settlers sites around. This is the one I’ve been playing on lately. Provides a link for anyone who wants to download the software to set up another server… I’m not computer savvy enough myself.
Time? I’m usually home by 7:00 and screwing around online until midnight.
Show up, if there’s a game named after something Taiwanese, try to join.
Sounds good to me
I used to play a lot. I’ll show up one evening and see if you guys are there. If you see someone named bulaien, that’s probably me
How about a Games Club out of town, like the one in Maogong?
Not this weekend of course, but perhaps on the 14th or 21st this month?
Some places that come to mind:
Zhuzi Hu, Yangming Shan
“Monk” Cafe near the Culture University (Hua Wen Da Xue) in Yangming Shan
I have recently aquired Risk, and could bring it along on Sunday. I didn’t bring it las week because the box is bigger than my bag.
I think Rascal’s idea of going to other places outside of Taipei is quite good. It would be nice to get out occaisionly as well - in that case I think we should consider an earlier start to compensate for travelling time.
Okay, there’s typhoon, no work tomorrow, who’s up for Settlers?
It’s 10:40 Thursday, I’m playing. Feel free to join. hoopes.hn.org/settlers/
I find http://sourceforge.net/projects/settlers3d/ to be a much nicer, and more visual platform. Some of us poor buggers are colour blind and that java version is really really difficult to play when you can’t tell the grain from the clay and which harbours are which.
Unfortunantly it doesn’t have the same hosting capability of the java version.
Download it and announce that you’re ready to play here… and see who joins you…
You’re right, from the screen shots that version looks much better, but I’m running a Mac, which is unsupported, so I’m SOL. Maybe I’ll hook up the gf’s laptop tomorrow and give it a whirl.
Has anybody come across the L-game?
I’ve been up since 8AM this mornign and already done everything I planned for today. Gotta get out of the house.
Who’s up for a special games club day today?
Suggestions:
Bitan - MRT to Xindian sit in a cafe near the lake and play small games like cards and boggle
Witch House - I’ll call and see if they’re open. We’ll have all the games. (Edit - they are open, but with live music from 9:30).
Tea House near Youth Park - there’s all these teahouses down near my place
I was thinking about 1PM or 2PM to start.
Anyone in?
Brian
I’m at that site now, if anyone wants a game.
Brian
Well I’m off to Witch Hosue now. Probably be one or two other Game Clubbers there.
Brian
Where is the Witch House exactly?
[quote=“Bu Lai En”]Games Club now meets from 2PM onwards every Sunday. The location is the Witch House Cafe (Gongguan). Directions are below.
We always welcome new members interested in playing a wide variety of games, or just chatting and hanging out.
Witch House:
Here is the address:
Xinsheng South Rd, Section 3, Lane 56, Number 7.
Directions:
From the T-intersection of Xinsheng and Roosevelt, head up Xinsheng, on the left side of the road. You’ll pass an Eslite, Maccers, and a couple of churches. It’s a lane or two past the Family Mart Store. If you get to the Universal Eyecare Clinic, you’ve gone too far. This is opposite the Tai-Da track by the way. It is just inside the lane, opposite a little gym called Taipei Gym.
The nearest MRT is Gongguan (exit 3). If you get off at Gongguan MRT, walk NWish to get to the Xinsheng/Roosevelt intersection.
Any questions about the Game Club, please ask in the Games Club Discussion Thread, or PM me or ImaniOU.
