Not gay but small, cheap, convenient and very clean, with a fantastic breakfast place/diner just outside the front door. No balconies on the rooms but sofas and tables on nice leafy verandahs on each floor. EXCELLENT budget accomodation; we went back a second time just because the linen was SO white!
I’m really quite sure that it’s not worth paying the extra for a totally gay hotel in Phuket - while there are sumptuous rooms and service at places like the Monte Carlo - and young men for hire at other establishments - don’t you find most gay Thai guys just as immature and annoying as children anyway?
Two Chinese Years ago we stayed at a little place called the Rendezvous Inn. It was very nice, modern and clean and run by a friendy Frenchmen. No noise at all at night, in fact no staff around, they give you a key to get in and out. Located right in the gay roundabout where all the bars are. We took the standard room which let for 700 baht. It is a bit small but not tiny and after seeing what the other hotels offered for 1,000 baht and up, we thought the best deal you could get in that area.
Thanks so much for the suggestions. My only concern about staying in Paradise Village is the noise - I remember the bars keep going till at least 1 a.m.
