German Christmas Terror attack

Five people killed and 200 injured. The suspect was Saudi Arabian who claimed asylum in Germany 20 years ago.
Except… he claimed asylum because he said he was being persecuted for rejecting Islam, and described himself as “the most aggressive critic of Islam in history”. He accused the German state of trying to Islamicize Europe. He posted content from Alex Jones, Elon Musk, and the AfD- in spite of Musk claiming only the AfD could prevent such attacks- by theirs, and his, supporter.

And a doctor he is. A strange case, indeed. Also, you would have thought Christmas Markets in Germany were secured against something like this after it happened before a few years ago.

He’s a nutcase. Maybe he meant for this to be a false flag, as this has been a common tactic of Islamic fundamentalists in the past (there’s been a few cases of them fatally ramming Xmas markets in Europe). Who knows what was going through his mind. However, this is unique as it’s the exception. Fundamentalists have done this many times. Anyway, RIP to the victims.

It is the exception? Alex Jones and Elon Musk must have said something to inspire this act…

Yes, it’s the exception. I shouldn’t have to post links to support the idea Islamic terrorism, and ramming attacks in particular, is a not uncommon event in Europe. List of vehicle-ramming attacks - Wikipedia

That said, I’m no fan of Musk or Jones. Rightwing terrorism happens as well, but nowhere near the scale of Islamic terror… so yes, it’s the exception.

Jesus Christ.

Hmm, Hannibal Lecter comes to mind. Unfortunately for the victims, this guy is not fiction.

One would think this kind of behavior is frowned upon.

Why do you think so many psychos study psychiatry?

Is it a terror attack if it’s a lone individual?

For me it’s terrorism when someone from the armed wing of a political group kills civilians (or if you happen to approve of them, freedom fighters waging a struggle for democracy, you know like Nelson Mandelas friends).

One nut job is just mass murder.

Apparently Saudi authorities warned Germany that he was a threat. Is that a first for them? I don’t recall them ever warning countries about Islamist extremists, or at least going public about it after an attack.

Assuming they did issue warnings then it probably explains why German authorities didn’t take it seriously. The only nutjob they warn against is anti-Saudi/anti-Islam, the rest they fund.

It sounds like you’re referring to some specific cases here, where KSA funded lone wolves in western countries. Can you name some names?

No, I was making a blanket generalisation in which I believe 100%. I can’t name any names.

Well, I admire your honesty.

And correctness.
