German Moscow relations

There’s a lot of pressure on all side in Germany for Merkle to back out the pipeline deal, something Putin has been pushing. It’s interesting to see Germany and Merkle’s close ties to Moscow put on the spotlight.

Taiwan’s favorite senator is also leading the charge on sanctions on Germany for the pipeline.

Of course the US doesn’t like that pipeline - they want Europe to be dependent on natural gas imports from the US. But these are much more expensive than the Russian gas…

The optomist in me wants to think, better than 79 years ago.

I wouldn’t wonder if actually the Americans are behind the poisoning to keep their own interests in their favor.
It would fit into Trump’s “American first policy”, however he claims to be Putin’s best friend.

Of course the order doesn’t come straight from Trump. Call me weird, but I do think that that there might be the possibility under this presidency there indeed might be a powerful hidden government and Trump is just their public puppet to present their policies.

It’s ok. Perfectly normal time for conspiracy theories to blossom, just before a POTUS reelection vote.

I think yours is no wackier, and probably way less wacky, than others I have seen expressed the past 4 years.

Well, Trump did refuse to criticise Putin for the poisoning. I’ sure he’s at least floated doing the same to Biden.
