German Post-Election Developments

Moving on from German Elections Drag On
How’s the coalition gov’t going to work?
Who gets the plum positions, the credit, the blame?
How long will this function?

OK, let us make this thread short.

Someone posts a Hitler pic,
someone talks about the holocaust.

Someone throws in Mexicans and Huricans
And smurfs and something else OT.

And we are done.

Conclusion is … Fred is happy Schroeder and Fisher are gone.

And then we cite a few WWII poems and that’s it.

Guten Abend.

Wow. bob_honest, you can indeed cut through the crap and get to the point.
Does that magic work in other spheres, or only these threads?

Understatement of the century.

Clarification: Now that Fischer and Schroeder are gone there is no need to bring up the Holocaust or single World War II anthems. The nasty America bashing politicians are gone and an adult has replaced them. I will watch the coalition closely. Not an outright win, but I am not going to complain. Fischer and Schroeder are gone. You have NO IDEA how happy I am and how long I waited for this moment. Hurrah! Howzah!

bob underscore rocks! :notworthy:

Should we go to La Casita and celebrate over several Giant Burrito Combo Specials and a 6-pack of Corona?

No I will be celebrating at the bar where the person we were going to tie to the front of our Cadillac convertible is going to be.

ohhhh where is this bar and how much rope should I bring?

What’s it worth to you? By the way, just for you, I will be changing the color of my avatar’s jogging pants, that is, if it is all the same to you.

No worries on the color change. The purple clowns I root for are much bigger jackasses. One of these I’ll get around to posting my avatar

The following has just happened (I am shocked):

  1. The SPD chairman will resign.

2 An extreme left wing member will take over the General Secretary job of SPD (which has led to 1).

  1. The governement plans with Angela Merkel are blewn up again, as the person from (1) was meant as Vice Chancelor and holding the whole SPD politicians bunch together and LEADING the coalition talks of SPD and CDU

  2. Bavaria CSU chief (CSU is the Bavaria twin of CDU) will probably not take part in the governement as he thinks it is utter chaos now. He probably wants to wait for Merkel’s plans to blow up and run for office himself at next election (?)

  3. Merkel says nothing (as usual)

  4. SPD is shocked about itself murding its General in the middle of a smoothly running battle. Like you shoot your General when you are about to attack the enemy castle and have halfway won.
Because SPD appeared to be stronger and more disciplined in the new governement-to-come than Merkel and the CDU guys.

Press says SPD has gone mad and comitted suicide.

NAHLES, the new General lady, fancies socialism, opposes free enterprise, wants the state to inherit deceased persons property, leave the NATO and probably wants to marry a green dwarf from the planet ZHUL.

Guten Abend,

Captain Chaos

P.S: I was always a choatic maniac in my life. That is why I work on wireless stuff nobody needs in Taiwan instead of making double money at home. BUT why the hell does my whole country follow me now on this road of madness? Dear oh Dear…

Oh Christ. I thought you were trying to be funny Bob Honest but no, this is in fact what is occurring. The loss of Muentefering is no skin off my ass but this woman, what an idiot. The whole world is moving away from socialism as it has bankrupted economy after economy but she is talking about embracing it even further? What planet does she live on and just which system does she think that Germany can emulate given its increased budget deficits and lowered productivity?

Nahles was chief of Young-Socialist, this is the SPD youth organization and it is fashion to be a real friggin’ commie when you are in there. Like “bye to big companies/let the state take them over (called state monopoly capitalism)” and stuff.

When joining SPD, those young socialists usually settle down and become mainstream, but she is still remarkably left in her opinion.

SPD cannot be part of a governement now, they must redefine themselves first. So how can a governement work now?

ALL ist happening because Merkel did not have what it takes to give people the vision of a new way for the country. Too quiet, too careful, too sleepy.

No idea now.

New elections?

Stoiber (Bavarian CSU chairman) as chancelor candidate?

SPD can put Nahles on the list

Can’t you just at least try to read properly? Bob_honest alread told you, it is Zhul.

Now Bavaria-Stoiber will retreat from the future governement, giving people the feeling it will not work out anyway. He was designated as super-minister for economy and Bavarian beer or so.

Muentefering will resign from SPD chair after being castrated by the commie gals, but will join the new governement. A lame duck is just what a governement needs.

SPD has this “oh no, what did we do to ourselves, did I really cut of this thing from my body” feeling you get after a long druggie night. :bravo:

And Merkel, the new chancelor, is … as usual … saying :

NOTHING

:noway: Time for the monarchy, I say it again

Sorry, I missed that haha.

Well, I guess we will just have to wait a bit longer… It will take as much time as it will take. I am very disappointed but maybe this needs to happen since Germans have not really decided just which direction they want to go. Do we need another election?

Because this … this … Merkel something is keeping quiet. No words utter from her mouth.

Did someone take her as a hostage in her office and nobody noticed yet?

She is NOT capable of doing the job. I guess this governement, if they ever get it ready, will break soon and hope she will be replaced by someone capable.

Who?

Stoiber? He scared away voters by changing from pro-Iraq-war to contra-Iraq-war over a simple question of a student on TV

Muentefering, still-to-be SPD chairman? Now de-faced by the left guys in the party.

The new SPD-chief Dr. No from Brandenburg? Who?

Somebody suggested the President (a representational function!) to rule the country by presidential emergency laws now.

Yeah, kinda Hindenburg-thingy.

Not a word, not a decision.
Bring back Schroeder
Not a word, not a decision.
Bring back Schroeder
I thought that you were nonpolitical. Why bring Schroeder back? Which policies do you approve of? What leadership qualities do you admire?

Let us change to a presidential democracy now. Koehler is German President and ex-world bank president. Let him tell Merkel to form a minority governement and … if the situation is unstable … pass presidential emergency laws.

I do hope this dramatic act would lead to politicians to think of the Nation in first place again and not of their pretty little careers.

The President shoud de-face and unmask them as losers and irresponsible party politicians in such a situation. Probably this would change something.

BobDreaming…
