What’s with the title? We don’t know what their legal status is in Poland, and they weren’t illegals from Germany’s point of view - they couldn’t even enter the country.
What does this judgement mean for the three Somalis? They could come back to the border and this time their claims would be processed?
Something doesn’t add up in that article - is it not the case that EU countries legislated for asylum seekers to be processed in their country of first arrival? Apparently Poland in this case.
Poland is refusing illegal immigrants and is thus refusing to process their frivolous asylum claims.
So Polish authorities seem to have driven them to the German border to dump them there. Then Germany refused them entry and deported them back to Poland.
Oh, it’s this political game again. Sounded familiar, but I couldn’t quite remember what it was.
Yeah, Germany and Poland have been doing this sort of thing for about a decade or so already…
