Why? Do you mean you think everybody should get free flu shots every year? ££££
Why are they available for everyone this year but not other years? Did they order too many? Or is this flu season worse than the past?

This is the case in Taiwan. People get cheap and sometimes free health care.
Last year the flu shots were available for free as well for everyone at some point.
They prioritize the most vulnerable first. Children get shots at schools when parent agree and elderly can get them for free few months ago.
They have the data to decide when it is the right time to allow everyone. So my comment could be different if they provided more information why it was not done earlier.
They also should have enough data to see if it is cheaper to give flu shots or let more people get sick, which also adds cost to NHI and economy.
