I have an ARC and a BOT account and they cut my ability to use my card abroad. Horribly bad bank. Complete idiots.
I recently set my Chinatrust IC card up to work with a 4-digit PIN for international use. Setting it up was all done through the ATM. I asked them in the bank and one of the managers just took me to the ATMs and walked me through the process (it was simple, didn’t really need the help). There were no forms to fill out or anything like that.
I haven’t actually tested it yet to see if it works, but I’ll be in Cambodia next week so I’ll give it a try and see if it works. In case it doesn’t, I also bought a shitload of US cash while I was in the bank.
