We are headed home to Taiwan, and I am looking for a gift for my Taiwanese Mother-In-Law. She is so hard to buy for, so I was wondering if anyone had some great ideas for me on what I could get her. I think that she would like something that makes her life easier, or a kitchen gadget. Any ideas?

Seriously though, can you get to a Coach outlet? They’re prices on Coach bags are outstanding, for $100 you can get something that costs $300 elsewhere in the US, and $600 in Asia.

Yes, that’s why they’re great gifts–they’re imported and very expensive, but you can buy them much cheaper abroad and they make a very impressive gift. Every Taiwanese I know wants Centrum if I go there, or if they come here, they clean out the shelves and take it all home with them them.

Me, too, please! And I doubt seriously that all that Centrum get’s consumed. It’s all in the face factor.
I brought a few kilos Vitamin C tablets with me, those which dissolve in water and produce some kind of lemonade. One of the colleagues was eating one when he was hungry. Was funny to look at [foam. Nose.] Makes a great gift without translation of the German print.

Centrum aren’t even that good - they’re just the cheapy, lowest possible dose ones. They wouldn’t have much effect unless you lived on bacon and Coke.
