Hello, I need to update my prescription for my glasses and get my lenses replaced, and was wondering if anyone knew the going rates for each?
Can I get my prescription updated at most glasses shops, or does it require a visit to an optometrist at a hospital? If so, does anyone have any English-speaking recommendations in the Taipei area?

Theres this place “owndays” that sells glasses inexpensively. And it’s usually done within 1 hour.
Price will vary, often based on quality.
If you’re willing to spend a bit of money, and if you’re in the Taipei City area, send me a PM and I can provide a recommendation for a third-generation shop that does really good work (but is not, as you would expect, the cheapest in town).
