I approve. But damnit, I wish they hadn’t taken away my messy desk theme.
I use “Compact” density and the Wood theme for one account and the Tea House for the other. Oceans is a winner too. The others are too cluttered/text is unreadable against the background.
I also switched to the new look today. I’m using the “planets” theme. So far seems OK. Anyone using Google+ yet? The “Hangout” feature looks cool (10 people using video chat simultaneously…cool!).
I have my personal gmail still on the old style but I switched my work stuff (run via google business apps) to the new look a couple of months ago. It’s nice and clean on the basic look.
I’ve been using it for 4 months or so. It’s much better than Facebook but most of my friends seem to be still on FB. Hangouts are fun.
I’ve had a problem with GMail’s emails for a couple of months. I really don’t like the way my email threads end up after the other party and I have replied back and forth a few times. The replies don’t seem to end up in chronological order, and I’ve missed a few important replies as a result. For some reason, the last email doesn’t always end up as the last in the list. It gets lost in the middle of all the emails. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there some way to fix it?
Mine’s is light green and dark green. Seems fine to me. Its for collecting email, fer crissakes! My ACTUAL mailbox, now THAT’s a different story, because it sits outside my garden gate and people NOTICE!
You’re an old bloke Sandy. You don’t value a person, by the model number of their blackberry, or the latest colour of their Mercedes tyres. You’re outdated, you believe in people and friendship, and sitting down for a beer and jamming, not sexting in tweets to multiple persons. Accept it. Let the young uns fret about the colour of their FB wall, while you pense upon the colour of the sunlight on your latest climb. That’s aesthetic sense these days. Inbox looking right and all. And ofcourse the size of the window, not the apartment window, the chat window has to be just right. Exhale. Let go.
