Going to HK for a visa with TLI (Flag)... still possible?

Just wondering if anyone out there has recently been to HK for a 2 month extendible visa through TLI… I’ve been hearing different stories, with some people saying it’s not easy anymore. Has anyone been rejected OR received one without problems? Need to leave this week, any help much appreciated!!!

My ex-roommate went and had a shitload of trouble there…
He had to fill in a new form, stating every time he had an extension, dates, places and everything. He also had to copy and sign a statement that he would never come back and never sign up at CLI ever again…
He’s only been studying for 6 months so there’s something else in play more than just the learn-Chinese-ib-18-months-and-be-gone-rule I’ve been hearing about…

After this he still only got a 30 days non extendable visa…
The glory days at CLI are over I guess…

Edit: I just saw that you wrote “TLI”… It’s “CLI” that’s the former “Flag”, right?

Mr. Flag himself recommends going to Kuala Lumpur for your visa.

Contrary to popular opinion, they do actually teach Chinese at Flag/CLI. I sat in on quite an interesting advanced conversation class there, but eventually I decided to go to Pioneer/ATCSL instead.
