The night before I left the bucolic city of Chiayi for Sin City, I visited a new foreigner run restaurant/pub called the Golden Eagle. The food I had was good, drink prices were reasonable, and the place had a nice feel. Overall, it seemed like a great addition to Chiayi’s rather limited choice of foreigner. hangouts.

The address is 243 Chiming Rd., opposite Chungshan park. If you head up Chungshan Rd., turn left when it gets to the park, the pub is a stone’s throw away on the left.

Ever been there twice, am much impressed! It’s amazing such a excellent establishment in such local country side. The atmosphere and decorations make me feel like in a local british bar, not in Taiwan. The owner is a british guy, called David. He and his crew are very friendly and warm. If their pub is in Taipei, I would go every day.
