So, the festival is almost over and a very satisfying one it has been too, though I still didn’t get to see half as many films as I would have liked to. I saw Screaming Masterpiece today and was completely riveted by it.
Has anybody else been indulging themselves with it? What have been your favourite films?
Little Miss Sunshine, New York Doll, Days of Glory were all fabulous. Missed Paris, Je T’aime, but I understand it’s coming to regular theaters soon.
They should hold the film fest more often, the closest Taiwan will ever get to Sundance. :bravo:
Aaah Little Miss Sunshine was indeed fabulous - “Where’s Olive…?”!!
Paris J’Taime is going to be released in the mainstream this weekend I think, as is Volver which I’m quite excited about. Picked up a ticket for Suite Dreams on Friday which has been voted number 1 in the viewers’ choice, so I’ll be curious to see how that goes down. It’s lovely to see that Kes has popped up in the top 10 too - I would have loved to see that on a big screen purely for nostalgic purposes but, alas, all the showing times clashed with classes

And: “Where’s grandpa?”
“In the trunk of our car.”
Classic.
