Good immigration attorney?

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a good immigration attorney with reasonable fees who might be able to guide me through the various steps of acquiring a national ID, household registration, full citizenship rights etc.

Right now all I have is the ROC passport - I was born abroad but my dad is an ROC national. I’ve found several of the forums here very useful and already have a general idea of what has to be done. Was wondering if anyone has had a good experience with a local lawyer in such matters; I don’t just want to thumb through the phone directory or do an internet search…

Thanks!!

I assume that you are physically in Taiwan.

Does your father live in Taiwan and have Household Registration? If so, you should qualify for an ID card and Household Registration based on your existing family relationship.

You can visit the Bureau of Entry and Exit, No. 15 Guang Jou Street, Taipei 100, TAIWAN and the officials there should be able to give you all the forms, and explain everything. You don’t really need an immigration lawyer.

Yes, I am in Taiwan right now.

My father has never lived here and never had Household Registration as he was born in the mainland which he left as a child; he’s since spent all his life overseas except from several visits to Taiwan.

My grandparents (dad’s side) however both moved to, settled and worked in Taiwan so they did have household registration. Only problem is they both passed away while I was still a kid.

I will try the Entry/Exit Bureau as you suggested and hopefully that will yield some results.

Thanks for your help!
