Good tailor in Taipei

Slightly OT, but if your travels take you to Bangkok I have used these guys before and been very pleased with the quality and price.

You have to go in person once then they’ll fulfill orders to anywhere in the world, very convenient! (And if you gain or lose a few pounds they’ll adjust if it’s not too much and accept updated numbers from other tailors if it’s more.)

Their material selection is very good as well, e.g. I chose something higher-end for some shirts >20yrs ago when I first visited and while I don’t wear them that often, they still look like new, not a fray in sight!

Prices might seem a bit middle of the road, or even high-ish, but the quality of materials and workmanship is exemplary!

It has been a couple years since I last used them though, so… :man_shrugging:

I have a few shirts made by those guys. Double stitching is what they prefer. They did take time to fix one shirt which needed a few fittings. I would probably use them again if I was in Bangkok and fancied another shirt. However, I think I would go for canvassed rather than fused and I don’t think they would be able to do canvassed collars/cuffs on a shirt or suit for that matter.
As a result, I would not call them high end, but better than most. There are few tailors that do canvassed in Thailand.
No idea about suits at BA, as I would only use Narin when there and in the future (or an equivalent) for suits.

Same, I was just referring to the material of that set of shirts - but their workmanship is decent enough, and they lean more towards Euro-timeless styling, which is my preference. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: (Narin doesn’t seem to have a gallery page?)

Have you been back to Boss recently? I need a new wardrobe for the Taipei house, (which is why I’m following this thread now. )

I’ll certainly check out your recommendation above as well. :folded_hands:
