So I just recently arrived in Taiwan, and am hanging for now with an old cell phone. Since the iPhone 5 is set to come out in the next few months, do you know if there’ll be deals out there to get a cheap iPhone 4, with or without a subcription?
I’m not that much of an Apple fan to want to get the iPhone 5, and will do perfectly fine with the 4 for the apps I need.
It’s probably a pretty good time now, but if you wait a month or two, it’ll be even better.
I agree with kaikai34 - you’ll see a lot of 4s and 4Ses for sale when the 5 comes to Taiwan - probably in Dec.
Can one buy an iPhone and then use prepaid cards for 3G service or do you need a plan?
Ironically - it was hard to get a iPhone 4s - no one wanted to stock them. Everyone was waiting for the iPhone 5
I think you can use a prepaid card, and you get charged for 3G service as you go. It can be much more expensive though.
On a side note the new 5s look really, really good.
