LOS ANGELES - A majority of American registered voters now say conditions in Iraq (news - web sites) did not merit war, but most are reluctant to abandon efforts there, according to a new Los Angeles Times poll.
Voters are increasingly concerned that Iraq is a quagmire America cannot escape, and they are doubtful that a democratic government will be established there, according to the poll published in Friday editions of the Times.
Fifty-three percent of respondents said the situation in Iraq did not merit war, while 43 percent said war was justified. When the same question was asked for Times polls in March and November, the numbers were precisely reversed. (read the rest at story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=s … /iraq_poll)
Well, it’s beginning to look more and more like Bush’s days in Washington are numbered. Iraq is just a mess and more and more Americans are starting to see that Bush and his team seriously miscalculated how easy would it be to topple Sadam, (a man who deserved to lose it all), and set up a new government.
One day history will show that George W. Bush was one of the worst world leaders of all time. A man without a vision, or a lick of sense, Bush is going to leave office having been unable to complete what he started in Iraq, and with an equally dismal domestic record. Poor Kerry will be left to pick up the pieces but at least he is capable of doing the job.
Bush is highly controversial no doubt about it, but please start looking past the talking points and on to the facts.
Is the Middle East a breeding ground of repression, violence and ignorance?
Does the Middle East espouse values to the detriment of others?
Does the Middle East rob its citizens of their peronal freedom?
Please inseret communists for Middle East. Do you not find the similiarities to a previous war we fought and won, similiar to a new war that has been hoisted upon us?
With Kerry’s past record, I do not believe he will be an effective president. I believe that as the election draws closer. Bush will have to parallel communism and militant islam and what we are going to do about it if he wants to win.
