Google releases its First Chinese language smart speaker

“it’s like having your own butler” :wall:

Hey Google who is the President of Taiwan?

My Google Home speaks and understands a bit of Chinese.

Why the need for a specific one for the language?

Because the whole logic system is different?

Phones understand Chinese in addition to English so I’m also wondering what’s different or unique about the speaker.

Why do all the actors lean in towards the device when speaking? Who would want to buy it if that was necessary?

My problem is that the mics are too sensitive. I had to group my hallway speakers with certain rooms because they kept picking up commands and answering with their inferior speakers. I can’t set up a preferred speaker appropriately unless they are in the same group.

Seems that these are specially programmed for Chinese syntax.
