Got a DVD drive and stumped again

When I signed up with Hi-Net they gave me ‘free’ DVD drive as part of the deal. Thing is, the DVD drive is not stand alone, and by looking at it I guess it is designed to be slotted into a desktop system. Problem is, I have a notebook.

Any ideas if I can link this up to my notebook somehow. On first inspection, none of the cables coming out of the DVD drive appear to be compatible with any of the sockets on the back of my notebook.

You’ll need to get an external casing for it which will convert the IDE plug into USB.

Take it to Guang Hua and they’ll know what to do.
