GPS nav unit with Taiwan map in English?

Are there any portable GPS navigation unis with Taiwan maps in English?
(or with street names shown in Chinese and English side-by-side)

Obviously this is meant for someone who can’t read Chinese, but drives
around in Taipei. (scary thought, isn’t it?)

I’ve asked the same question, and looked for weeks without success. If you find one, please post about it here.

I think the Garmin C320 has that option.

Would like the same thing, but cannot see it ever happening. The potential sales volume would be way to small, or would require a price tag that most people would not be prepared to pay, that the costs would not be met.

its a software issue not a hardware one.

ford told me papago are ‘thinking’ about doing a pinyin version in 07

Precisely, and for the number of on chinese who have cars, how many would want to buy. Whilst on the odd ocassion it would be useful, not sure the cost would be justified, and that is before we get into the argument of should it use Pinyin, Wade Giles or any other system.

Dont see it happening somehow.
