Great weather site for Taiwan

Hi,

If you haven’t found this website yet, and are interested in an online weather source, you should take a look.

Its main page, daily weather, etc., is not that exciting. However, its satellite and radar pages are really good. It is possible to look at Asia or just Taiwan. I recently checked the progress of the last typhoon in real-time. Tip: If you have a mouse wheel (scroll aid), you can scroll at your own speed through at least 12 hours (more I think) of past satellite or radar shots. Very useful for tracking or analyzing storm progress.

This is a Taiwanese weather site named “Central Weather Bureau.” Its address is cwb.gov.tw/V4e/index.htm

You’re right, it is a good site. I often use it. Wazai linked to it in the “Typhoon Information” thread
( forumosa.com/taiwan/viewtopic.php?t=10557 ) but putting the link in a dedicated thread as you have done will probably help people do searches in the future.

You need to edit your post and delete the final full stop (period) after the link, though. At present the software thinks that it is part of the link so when you click it you get a “404 page not found”.

[Moderators note: I did it]

Thanks for the tip on how to type link addresses correctly in forum posts. And to the moderator for fixing it.

This is the real weather page for that stuff. Makes the CWB look like its got training wheels.

There are a few useful Taiwan area links here, and some good Asia links here
