Green Men

This sounds ridiculous.
I don’t know if I heard it right, but I was listening to the BBC over the internet.
A scientist came on and said they have been receiving radio signals from deep space and suggested we had made contact with “other worlds.”
I can’t find any news on the web to link to. Anyone else heard anything about this?

Adjust the tin foil around your ears. I think that the “signals” from “them” will come through better.

So it’s only a matter of time before Dubya, Laura, Rummy, Wolfie and Dick tear off their faces and reveal themselves to be advance scouts for a hostile, alien race…

Laugha while you can, monkey-boy.
Could Space Signal Be Alien Contact?

36 minutes ago Add Science - Reuters to My Yahoo!

LONDON (Reuters) - An unexplained radio signal from deep space could – just might be – contact from an alien civilization, New Scientist magazine reported on Thursday.

The signal, coming from a point between the Pisces and Aries constellations, has been picked up three times by a telescope in Puerto Rico.

New Scientist said the signal could be generated by a previously unknown astronomical phenomenon or even be a by-product from the telescope itself.

But the mystery beam has excited astronomers across the world.

“If they can see it four, five or six times it really begins to get exciting,” Jocelyn Bell Burnell of the University of Bath in western England told the magazine.

It was broadcast on the main frequency at which the universe’s most common element, hydrogen, absorbs and emits energy, and which astronomers say is the most likely means by which aliens would advertise their presence.

The potentially extraterrestrial signals were picked up through the SETI@home project, which uses programs running as screensavers on millions of personal computers worldwide to sift through the huge amount of data picked up by the telescope.
I think you misspelled “before Kerry, Edwards, Ketchup-lady, and Bill tear off their pants and reveal themselves . . .”

Oh, wait, Bill already did that. “Nevermind”.

Stuff and nonsense!
It’s the internet. Don’t believe it.

The coverup has already started.

Funny, recently I have been finding myself strangely sexually attracted to Dubya. :astonished: :loco:

The Drake Equation has somewhat got me convinced that we are not the only intelligent life in existance. Not to mention all the incredible stories by credible people.

People who don’t believe are either too closed minded ,relgious, os just plane scared.

I’d say they’re UFO scared. But how could they be UFO scared if they don’t believe in them??

But Drake didn’t have a clue about all of the possible factors. Consider, for example, the highly unlikely chance of creating an immune system.

Exactly what I’m talking about.

Why are all these people wasting their time trying to find intelligent life somewhere else in the universe…I’m still trying to find it here! :wall:

Ohmahgawd!

How amazingly unlikely is your birth,
And pray that there’s intelligent life somewhere up in space,
'Cause there’s bugger all down here on Earth.
I think I figured out where this came from, and why it came out now.

The media likes to come up with spectacular things to distract from the RNC every four years. Last time was the Antarctic meteorite which showed traces of “life” and which came from Mars. The media hyped up the Mars meteorite for about a week, and then it disappeared.

Looks like they did it again. Oh well, no big deal.

The meteorite thing was in 1996. It was exciting for a while.

Maybe they’re just trying to reassure people that, in light of the RNC, there’s still the possibility of intelligent life being around somewhere
