Apart from the weekly 7:30 a.m. Saturday rides from Chengchi University (hard on my schedule), is there any group mountain biking in or around the hilly parts of Taipei city/county, including on-off road combinations? Short rides OK.

buxiban laoban, ni hao. I’m in the Zhongshan district of Taipei about 20 minutes pedal from the paved paths (blocked, crowded paths) along the Keelung River. Any suggestions for this area?
I think I might be quite close to you. Recently, I’ve only managed to cycle along the river paths, but they can be good for a couple of hours.
Just had a new baby, but I reckon in a month or so I’ll be up for 2-hour cycles on Saturday or Sunday afternoons if you fancy some company.
EDIT: I see you’ve been directed to the gas plant route. I’d also be interested in that (though I don’t know how to get on it). Let me know if you ever go there. I’d love to find somewhere off-road around here.
