Guandu River Park and Arts University

The wife boy and I went to Guandu River park yesterday. Very nice and relatively quiet, unlike Tamsui. We rented a couple of bikes and road along the river; stopped at a marsh and watched some birds through a birdwatcher’s powerful telescope.

Also went to the National Arts university which has very big western college sized lawns to run around in, including a water buffalo munching grass.

A very nice, low key break from city life. I was pleasantly surprised and will return. I’d go there anyday over Tamsui.

Yes, it’s quite a tranquil spot. Very easy to get to from the MRT too. The uni has a good bookshop and good coffee, did you go in there jd?

We didn’t. Had lunch and then took a walk. Never made it back up the hill. But that place begs to be returned to.
