Very cool.
A key moment when the label is placed
what stage of the build is this?
Finishing, itâs almost complete.
Is that the truss rod sticking out of the neck in the last photo?
Yes, but it will be hidden in the neck block once the neck is glued in. Also in a regular guitar neck that part is often where the adjustment nut is, but on this guitar itâs at the head.
Just scrolled up and saw. Adjustment nut under a removable plate. Nice work.
The photographs donât say to me âOMG, I want to buy a guitar!â
Iâm probably not the target market.
I find it interesting to see each phase of the building process.
I mostly play cat gut but am not in the market for a new axe at this time. I am curious if this gentleman has or would build a classical guitar, or perhaps a renaissance style vihuela.
How about other string instruments like a harp or a lute?
I can build a classical guitarâŠ
I never tried a harp or lute, will need to study one.
I was thinking that way. The folk guitar though, would be in the highest demand.
How about a theorbo. You would need to buy a row of plane seats to get it back home safely.
If and when I get back to the Rock, I will let you know prior. Would love to own a hand crafted classical instrument from Taiwan and shake the hand of the person who made it.
Based.
By the way, you made this electric guitar from scratch?
Yes
