Gulf oil spill and hurricane season?

I’m interested in what hurricane season means to the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

It seems to me that a hurricane(s) will only exacerbate the problem. Does anyone have any knowledge or links to share?

Not sure what it means for oil, but Nat Geo yesterday were saying that all weather conditions, sea temps etc in the region are the same as they were in 2005, the year of Katrina, so a repeat of that is a distinct possibility.

Sure. Here you go: [forumosa.com/taiwan/viewtopic.ph … 0#p1158790](Political Satire and Political Jokes - Part 3

I guess it’s not a question of if a hurricane will strike, it’s a matter of how many and what it means to disbursement of the oil. My co-worker says that despite logic, a couple of hurricanes might actually speed up the oxidation process. I dunno.
