Hacksaw Jim Duggan

Since there was no walking issue forum, I thought I’d post here. I’m in Taiwan approximately 8 or 9 days. I’m in the suburbs of Kaohsiung. Now you will all think I’m crazy (with all the wide, planned roads), but I can’t take the scooters coming within inches of me, going really, really fast.

I’m scared I’m going to pull a Hacksaw Jim Duggan. You know, get in the old high school football 3-point stance and TCB.

I don’t know about Taipei, but the South is a little rougher around the edges than I expected.

If you dare come up to Taipei and pull a Hacksaw Jim Duggan on me, I will respond with The Claw, and you will go down.

Here’s how we do it!

It’s worse in Taipei. IMO.
Just pretend you’re back home walking through a shady part of town. Always checking your back, etc…

Well color me disappointed. I was expect that to be “smack someone in the back of the head with a 2x4”.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Nah…if they get to close just pull a, “This is Sparta!!!” and kick them over.

there are suburbs in Kaohsiung? where are they?

Big Wally,

I’m in a place dalled Daliao. I guess it’s sort of a city, more than a suburb. But, it’s here, then Fongshan, then Daliao.

When I’m not watching out for bikes, I’m watching out for chicken wire. I guess it’s from signs that came down. I took a picture of the chickenwire on a post, but can’t post it right now.
