Happy Turkey Day!

Hello folks,

Hope y’all are gonna have a great hearty dinner tonight, wherever you’re from.

Remember: the meal is not over when you’re full; the meal is over when you hate yourself

:cluck: Happy Thanksgiving! :cluck:

Happy Thanksgiving to ya’all !

meantime, has this very American holiday made it over to Taiwan in any fashion? How bout to the UK?

Anyone celebrate Thanksgiving over there?

About 6 weeks late, but thanks just the same.

I’m not celebrating. I’m just eating a lot.

I would celebrate by going out for some turkey rice…if it wasn’t some of the worst food Taiwan has to offer…maybe a turkey sandwich at subway will do

Can’t you get roast turkey at Costco?

Gobble gobble!

Thanksgiving for what?

Don’t think so…?

Nope.

The kids picked up pretty quick on trick or treating, though.

“Turkey Day”…? You must be referring to Republic Day (Oct. 29).

Or is this that Canadian football holiday where they give thanks for being so close to the USA…?

I miss it. The pie. The pie.

Is that pecan pie on the right? :lick:

Have a happy Thanksgiving

I have to be away tomorrow so our dinner is tonight.
Smoked turkey
Baked potatoes with turkey and mushroom gravy
Turkey dressing with sage and oysters
Corn on the cob
Cranberry jelly
Baked pumpkin pudding

It just occurred to me that the British need an equivalent. How about Ingratitude Day? We could all sit around stuffing our faces with cake and drinking tea, while whinging and moaning about the government, the weather, the youth of today, and how they don’t make cake like they did in the old days.

I thought that was every day.

Two thoughts on Turkey Die day:

  1. no matter how bad you think things are, give thanks because it could be worse !

  2. go see FREE BIRDS in honor of Turkeys rising up to free themselves from the menu !

  3. Ok a 3rd thought: "Sun Shines , Pommies Whine "

Yes, but it’d be nice to have a legitimate excuse.
