i’ve just brought the Philips hard disc dvd recorder at Costco. Purchased it there for the no problem return policy. Price was around 18k.
It has Chinese manual. Okay because the remote is in English and it is very easy to find the English when you get menu up on the tv.
Easy to record. Good programming with a browse function almost like a computer screen with tabs.
Play back and same quality as recorded from what I can tell.
I have used the 30 minute bookmark option. So, record 12 hours of tv then just a click and you can be watching and click forward 30 minutes at a go to find the right spot. Then 16x fast forward to fine tune your viewing start.
