Not having to be compared to or lectured about how I and fellow foreingers “are/am,” and then given the riot act that we are ‘Strange’ because we don’t fit into the stereotypes they witness being presented, or how we’re not being truthful because they saw or heard something different from the mouth of Ma Ke, Jeffu, etc.

I agree, it really sucks when stereotypes of a certain race or group of people are reinforced or perpetuated. Bad form, for certain. I’m glad that none of us reinforce or perpetuate any stereotypes regarding the locals… because, that would be hypocritical:
