# Has anyone tried Hualian's 121 American Sushi?

I’m heading to Hualian this afternoon and we’re thinking of this California roll sushi type of place ([121美式壽司](https://www.google.com.tw/maps/place/121%E7%BE%8E%E5%BC%8F%E5%A3%BD%E5%8F%B8/@23.9930331,121.6045881,18z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xea255d9a1c0e69f1!8m2!3d23.9923814!4d121.6049868?shorturl=1)). The reviews online sound good. I was wondering if anyone here has tried it and their thoughts.

I have not been there but I like this Japanese place.

Update: We ate at 121 and it was delicious. We had a sashimi combo plate, a Tornado Roll (eel, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, spicy tuna, mayo, and unagi sauce) and a Power Roll (shrimp tempura, avocado, seared beef, scallions, roe, lobster sauce, spicy mayo).

I can take or leave sashimi but what I came for were the rolls, and they didn’t disappoint. They have about two dozen different kinds, and their menu has photos and ingredients in English. I definitely recommend this place if you’re in the mood for American style sushi.

Is there a Taiwan roll , or is that not such a thing in Taiwan
