Some of the evidence may have been poor… but not ALL of the evidence was poor. You make it sound as if there was absolutely NO reason to believe that weapons might have been present in Iraq.

As an ally and friend you must allow others (not only Germany) to object or criticise and if we decide not to join the CoW then it should be our (democratic) right - and as such this decision should be respected by the US.

Was Germany not allowed to voice its opposition to the use of force in Iraq?

How? Insults are generally protected as free speech. And what hostility has the US shown to Germany? And what “threats”?
