Have you ever reevaluated the kind of jobs you seek?

I have taught at a high school, an elementary school, a buxibans and kindies. I have also taught private students. I have a good idea of what all of them are like. If I had known what I know now, I would have been richer and happier, so what I’m wondering right now is whether people settle for less than what they are capable of doing. Why work at a fly-by-night kindergaten if you could be treated professionally at a high/elementary school? Why work in …(insert name of any two-scooter town) if you could work in Taipei/or vice versa? Why work in Taiwan if you may as well be working in any other country where ESL is taught? Has Taiwan become a comfort zone for you?
